Welcome to our Online Ministry
We're excited about your visit and look forward to having you join with us to worship God together. Here are a few answers from the most common questions people ask about Mt. Sinai. When I arrive who can I contact to help me locate where I should go?
We have greeters, ushers and security who can assist you should you need directions in locating your children's classrooms, the Sanctuary, or any other area of our facility. They are easily identified by their name badge. When you arrive at the door, our greeters will greet you and give you an information packet about our church family.
Tell me about your message.
We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written Word of God. Pastor Earnest loves to use real life applications and illustrations to bring the Bible to life in a current and relevant way. Pastor Sweat is committed to preaching and teaching biblically based messages that will challenge and encourage you to grow stronger in your faith and relationship with God.
What is your worship service like?
At Mt. Sinai, we love to praise and worship God. All of our services start with praise and worship featuring a mix of modern and traditional songs. During our worship service you will experience singing, hand clapping, raised hands, and we may even praise Him in the dance. All of this is designed to exalt the character of our Lord and thus usher in His presence. Our ultimate goal and responsibility is to continually usher in God’s presence and facilitate an anointed time of praise and worship, by upholding a standard of excellence in music and ministry as we minister for His honor and glory. All services begin with a time of praise and worship, followed by a welcome, and the word of God. Pastor Earnest shares a message of hope and healing. At the close of the service, an audio cd highlights upcoming events and opportunities to get involved. All services begin and end with a prayer and a formal dismissal.
What denomination is Mt. Sinai?
Mt. Sinai is associated with the Church of God in Christ and we do ascribe to the Church of God in Christ’s Statement of Faith. If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone concerning the ministry, please contact one our greeters, ushers or church family.
What should I wear?
Jesus accepts you just as you are, and so do we! All we believe in is modesty and decency. If you are comfortable in your jeans or if you desire to wear a suit, the choice is yours! We are more interested in you connecting with God and our church family than what you are wearing.
How long should I plan to be there?
Our Sunday Morning begins with:
- Sunday school starting at 9:00 a.m.
- Sunday Morning worship beginning at 10:45 a.m., which lasts approximately 2 hours.
- Third Sunday Night Hour of Power and Anointing Service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes, you can bring them with you to the services, we believe in families worshipping together. We also have a room available for you to view our services, if your infant or toddler becomes fussy.
Do I need to give money?
There is no financial expectation of our guests. However, as a church, we strongly believe that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:34). By tithing and giving offering to missions, benevolence, and our general fund you will experience great blessings from God.
When I visit, will I have to say anything or be singled out in any way?You will be recognized as our special guest, but you want have to say anything. Our church family will also greet you and say hello, but only to let you know that you are welcome.
